Mr. James Mbwika

Mr. James Mbwika is a Board Member at CABE and is the Founding Director of Agriculture Development Associates Ltd which works with International Development Agencies, National and County Governments to address bottlenecks in the agriculture sector development. A trained agriculture economist from University of British Columbia, Vancouver, he specializes in value chain analysis, policy analysis and advocacy, and he is also experienced in institutional restructuring and strategic planning. His work experience includes 7 years as an economist in Ministry of Economic Planning Kenya where he worked in the Long Range Planning Division, a Network Coordinator for PTA (now COMESA) Oil crops Development Programme (1992-1997), Long term consultant for International Institute of Tropical Agriculture cassava development programme (2000-2002) and Policy Advisor to Ministry of Food and Agriculture, Ghana (2008-2009).
