John Okoth Otieno is a Research Associate at CABE. He has two years’ experience in youth leadership, community development, resource mobilization, and communications management. He has been involved in several youth policy discussions. For example, the Kenya Youth Policy Review 2019 and the apprenticeship policy framework on youth employment creation in agriculture and agro-processing for inclusive growth in Kenya. He has studied BSc Medical Biotechnology at Maseno University and has founded several Community-Based Organizations (CBOs) in Migori county.
John is also an alumnus of the Young African Leadership Initiative(YALI) East Africa and has interests in policy-making, leadership, and activism. He is committed to transforming the lives of youths through advocacy, mentorship and creating innovative alternative means of employment through talents, creative arts and agriculture.
