Mr. Patrick Odame
Ag. Executive Director
Patrick Odame comes with long experience of 36years in Kenyan Public Service, of which 24years, is in Agricultural sector and 12years in Democracy, Governance and Elections space. He has served in diverse areas of Agricultural development, including, smallholder Irrigation Engineering Systems Designs and Implementation; Irrigation Extension; Horticultural Extension; Farmer Training; Developing Training Materials, Information Packaging and Dissemination using mass media. He was recently appointed by the Governor, Busia County to chair Busia County Water and sewerage Company as a director; Chair of the sub-committee of the Taskforce on “Governance and Systems Reforms in the Growth Sectors”- such as Agriculture, Water and Climate Change and Natural resources, Trade, industry and Cooperatives and Busia and Malaba Municipalities. Patrick has expertise in analysis of Value-Chains; Conducting Feasibility and Baselines Studies; and Evaluations in agribusiness sector; social Enterprises and Agri-food technologies and gender mainstreaming. He holds Masters of Business Administration (Strategic Marketing option), Bachelor of Science Degree in Tropical and Sub-tropical Agriculture with specialization in International Agri-Food Production & Marketing, Diploma in Agricultural Engineering (soils and Water Engineering specialization). He is also an Accredited workshop facilitator-Building Resources in Democracy, Governance and Elections-(BRIDGE).
Mr. Christopher Ojiambo
Account Assistant
Christopher Ojiambo holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) from KCA University, Kenya. He provides financial services; bookkeeping, taxation, banking and maintains payroll systems at CABE. During his undergraduate studies, Christopher worked as an audit assistant and has enhanced efficiency in financial management skills through work and professional courses. As a fully certified accountant, Christopher advises CABE management on various financial policies and organizational management.
Ms. Evelyn Otieno
Communications Officer
Evelyn Otieno is a communications officer at CABE. She holds an MBA from the University of Nairobi, BA in Communication and Media Technology and is pursuing a course from Havard University.
Evelyn has vast experience in project communication, having worked at Farm Concern International, African Technology Policy Studies Network, Scidev, Kenya Broadcasting Corporation, and HomesKenya magazine where she was an editor.
She has supported communications for organizations including USAID/Kenya-East Africa, SoCha LLC, Palladium, AGRA, Twaweza, and Kobo trust.
Mr. Mukisa Bonface
IT Manager
Bonface Mukisa is the Information Technology Manager at CABE. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Masinde Muliro University of science and Technology. He is in charge of supervision, implementation and maintenance of CABE’s computing needs. He handles business-critical IT task and system administration. He has two years of experience in web and system development, database and risk management, and data analysis. He is also a trainer of trainer (TOT) in TVET CDACC curriculum.
Ms. Nereah Anyango
Administrative Assistant
Nereah Anyango holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business and Information Technology from Kenya Methodist University. She is an Administrative Assistant at the Centre for African Bio-Entrepreneurship (CABE). She has extensive experience in all administrative tasks including providing reception and secretarial services, developing and maintaining an updated database of stakeholders, partners, communication, and projects, organize and make bookings for meetings and conferences organized by CABE and partners, among others. She has previously worked with Future Agricultures Consortium (FAC) East Africa hub and The Monarch Insurance Company Ltd.
Mr. John Okoth
Program Assistant
John Okoth is a Program Assistant at CABE. He is an alumnus of the Young African Leadership Initiative (YALI) East Africa, holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Biotechnology from Maseno University, and he is currently pursuing an Advanced Diploma in Project Management. John is in charge of research and innovations, project management, development of concept notes and proposals, fundraising and project coordination. Also, he is spearheading the establishment of a Youth in Agriculture Advocacy Unit (YAPAU) at CABE. John has three years of experience in youth leadership and community development, advocacy, resource mobilization, design thinking training and start up management.
Mr. Julius Sila
Logistic Officer
Mr. JULIUS SILA works at CABE in the Logistics and office support department since 2021. He supports office administration in organizing meetings. Transport logistics and various activity coordination.
