Ms Mercy Nduati
Communications & Network Facilitator
Ms. Mercy Nduati joined CABE in December 2017 as the Communications and Network Facilitator. She is in charge of internal and external communications, identification of project ideas, website management, writing, editing and proofreading of reports and proposals, policy engagement, resource mobilization as well as promoting dialogue between different departments, stakeholders and CABE’s partners. Previously, Mercy worked with Intercontinental Publishers Limited as an Editorial Assistant for Kenya Engineer Magazine plus Amazing World of Engineers coffee table book2015/2016 and Greco International Limited as a website Content Developer and Copywriter where she built on her vast experience in communication and media. She is a Bloomberg Fellow and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communication and Media from Egerton University. Currently, she is supporting a research-policy engagement project on youth employment creation in agriculture and agro-processing. She has key interest in Public Relations and Customer Care and is a follower of topics on business, agriculture, energy, transport and education.
Ms. Elsie Kangai
Ms. Elsie Kangai has risen from a research assistant to the Program Manager at CABE since 2013. She has eight (8) years of experience in agricultural development work. Elsie has built experience in program management, research, project monitoring and evaluation, coordination of teams, preparation of entrepreneurship manuals, resource mobilization, networking and nurturing early career professionals. She has many coordinated regional consultancy assignments for different clients including ASARECA, AGRA, NRI (UK), Future Agricultures Consortium (FAC), IFPRI, UNECA, FAO, KAPAP and ASDSP among others. She has also co-authored different reports and publications covering agricultural policy, youth and agriculture, Agribusiness public-private partnerships, technology uptake pathways, technology inventory, private sector investments in agricultural R&D, high value crops and poultry. She is an Agricultural Economist with MSc. Agricultural and Applied Economics, Rural Development option and BSc.Agricultural Economics. She has a keen interest in entrepreneurship, microfinance and youth in agribusiness.

Ms. Lucy Adoyo
Ms. Lucy Adoyo is a Research Associate at CABE since 2008. She has over eight(8) years experience in Socio-economic Research, Monitoring and Evaluation. Lucy has excellent skills in coordinating field activities, organizing workshops; and mobilizing materials and human resources to effectively deliver a project. Through experience she has developed skills in value chain analysis, data analysis, reporting, document review, data scoping and proposal development. While working at CABE she has been able to accomplish assignments on various project evaluations for AGRA, ASARECA, TechnoServe, Policy Review for Climate Smart Agriculture and workshop coordination for Institute for Development Studies (IDS). She is currently pursuing a Master of Science degree in Agribusiness Management from Kenyatta University and holds a Bachelors Degree in Agricultural Economics from Egerton University.

Ms. Maureen Akwara
Ms. Maureen Akwara is a Research Associate at CABE since 2014. She has previous experience in research from International Livestock Research Institute. She holds a degree from Egerton University and currently pursuing her MSc in Agriculture and Applied Economics at the University of Nairobi. She is a junior researcher in the areas of agriculture, trade, policy and climate change. She is also an experienced data management, analysis and report writing.
Mr. Duncan Oyugi Akhobe
Mr. Duncan Oyugi Akhobe is a Finance Consultant at CABE, providing an array of financial, book keeping , tax advisory and management services to the organization since 2015. He is a holder of Certified Public Accounts (CPAK), a Diploma in Accountancy and currently undertaking a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce (Finance Option) and a member of Mango Trainee affiliate of Oxford University.
Mr. Christopher Ojiambo
Mr. Christopher Ojiambo is an Accounts Assistant at CABE since 2015. He provides financial services; book keeping, taxation, banking and maintains payroll systems at CABE. With the assistance of the Financial Consultant, Christopher has made remarkable milestones in the Finance Department at CABE. He is a holder of Certified Public Accounts (CPAK), and is currently undertaking a Bachelors Degree in Commerce (Finance Option) at KCA University.

Ms. Nereah Anyango
Ms. Nereah Anyango is an Administrative Assistant at CABE since 2013. She provides administrative support in front desk operations, meetings and conferences, travel logistical, record maintenance and general office coordination. Nereah has previously worked with Future Agricultures Consortium East Africa hub as an Office Assistant where CABE is an affiliate. Nereah holds a Bachelors degree in Business and Information Technology from Kenya Methodist University.

Mr. Micky Abachi
Logistics and Office support Officer
Mr. Micky Abachi works at CABE in the Logistics and Office support Department since 2013. He supports office administration in organizing meetings, transport logistics and various activity coordination . He is also a creative photographer and graphic designer with an experience in producing impact visual brands; and gives support in producing Information and Communication Materials. Micky holds a Higher Diploma in Photography and Graphics Design from Nairobi Institute of Technology (N.I.T).

Ms. Joyce Mbingo Munini
Ms. Joyce Mbingo Munini is an experienced Soils Scientist working as a Project Coordinator at CABE in Busia County. She plays a coordination role and provides leadership under a project testing an adapted Farmer Business School (FBS) and Development of a Supply Chain for African Leafy Vegetables which aims at creating Market Linkages. She has over 5 years extensive work experience as an Agribusiness Consultant with vast experience in agronomic aspects from training and international conferences towards agriculture and agri-business. Joyce holds a Master’s Degree in Soil Science from University of Eldoret and a Bachelors’ Degree in Soils and Land Use Management. She is a firm believer in innovation and technological enhancement for economic growth.
Mr. Daniel Ombede Omondi
Mr. Daniel Ombede Omondi is a trained agribusiness specialist working with CABE as an Agri-preneurship Advisor in Busia County to promote and commercialize African Leafy Vegetables in the Farmer Business Model. He has has vast experience in coordinating projects with research based institutions as well as managing community groups. He is a specialized Trainer of the Communities and ToTs on Sustainable Agronomy and Rural Livelihood options, Community Based Natural Resources Management, Community resilience and adaptation to climate change, agribusiness and contract farming as well as gender integration into development. Currently Daniel is pursuing degree in development studies; and an alumnus of Kilifi Institute of Agriculture with a Certificate in General Agriculture.
Ms. Catherine Achieng Mugabe
Ms. Catherine Achieng Mugabe is a Liason Officer at CABE in Busia County, Nambale Sub- County; under a project testing an adapted Farmer Business School (FBS) and Development of a Supply Chain for African Leafy Vegetables. She works as a facilitator in creation for market linkages for the farmer groups. Catherine has worked as Grassroot Officer and Capacity Building Specialist of farmers on group formation, management, and a financial advisor in Busia County. She owns a Diploma in Social Work and Community Development .
Mr. Fredrick Otieno Opondo
Mr. Fredrick Otieno Opondo works as a Liaison Officer at CABE in Teso-South Sub County, Busia County. He builds capacities of farmers through training and creating market linkages to embrace and commercialize the African Leafy Vegetables (ALVs) under a project testing an adapted Farmer Business School (FBS) and Development of a Supply Chain. He has notable experience in facilitating capacity building through training of farmer groups and establishing farming projects. He is also experienced in data collection. Fredrick holds a Degree in Sociology and Information Technology from Maseno University.
Mr. Fredrick Owino Musewe
Mr. Fredrick Owino Musewe is a Liason Officer at CABE in Busia County, Matayos Sub- County; under a project testing an adapted Farmer Business School (FBS) and Development of a Supply Chain for African Leafy Vegetables. He works as a facilitator in creation for market linkages for the farmer groups. Fredrick has vast experience in marketing, purchasing and supplies and holds a Diploma in Supply Management.
Mr. Didimus Odhiambo Bwire
Mr. Didimus Odhiambo Bwire is a Liason Officer at CABE in Busia County, Butula Sub- County; under a project testing an adapted Farmer Business School (FBS) and Development of a Supply Chain for African Leafy Vegetables. Didimus mobilizes farmers, facilitates capacity building and market linkages for produce. He holds a Diploma in Agricultural Extension and Community Development. Previously he has worked as an Extension Officer and a Field Assistant in other organizations
Mr. David Kosgei kanda
David is currently supporting CABE as Research Associate under the project dubbed, Re-thinking Strategy on animal Health, Livestock trade, Market and Policy ‘ReSHaMap’ in Turkana County. He has worked for other like-minded organizations as a Junior consultant and Associate Advisor in Livestock sub-sector related programs geared towards commercialization of dairy, red meat and other alternative products. David holds a BSc. degree in Agricultural Economics with demonstrated knowledge in both macro and micro economic analysis, Value chain development, Organizational development,Business development Services, inclusive business, Value chain financing, project monitoring and evaluation.
